Overview

Day 1: We will meet at Unirii Square (Piața Unirii), in front of the Unirii Mall, next to the metro station. From there, we’ll begin our journey by walking toward the Old Town to explore its rich history and attractions. For lunch, we’ll dine at Caru’ cu Bere, where you can savor traditional Romanian delicacies.

Next, we’ll continue along Calea Victoriei and explore the Macca–Vilacrosse Passage, eventually arriving at the University area. Afterward, we’ll head to Cismigiu Gardens for a relaxing break amidst the beautiful scenery.

Our journey then leads us to the Palace of the Parliament, famous for holding the Guinness World Record as the largest administrative building for civilian use, and ranking third globally by volume. It is also the heaviest and most expensive building in the world.

Following the Parliament visit, we’ll wrap up the day with a dinner reservation at Hanu’ lui Manuc. Optional: Join us afterward to witness the impressive Downtown Bucharest fountains, which hold the title of the largest choreographed musical fountains in the world.

Day 2: We’ll start the day by meeting at Victoria Palace in Victory Square (Piața Victoriei). Our first stops will be the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, the National Geological Museum, and the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.

After our museum visits, we’ll take a pleasant walk along Kisselef Boulevard, leading to our lunch reservation at Casa Doina. Once refreshed, we’ll continue to the Triumphal Arch, where we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the city, including the expansive Herastrau Park—our next destination.

Inside Herastrau Park, we’ll visit the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum, an open-air museum that highlights traditional Romanian village life. From there, we will find out more about the Romanian president Ceausescu’s history by visiting the former residence, built in 1964. The day will conclude with dinner at Excalibur, where we’ll dine in a charming medieval atmosphere.
